After two food crises, McDonald’s Japan needed to reconnect with confidence and a sense of playfulness. So we got help from our best loved product. We created an APP that allowed people to make anything look like a fry – framed by the iconic red box. Generating fun topics both online and offline and of course in the restaurants too, this APP grew sales and drove brand engagement.
